Mitch Saunders loves to awaken and encourage
the best in individuals,
relationships and organizations. He is the founder of Action-Learning Partners,
a company providing coaching, consulting and capacity building for leaders,
organizations and communities.
For over 18 years, Mitch has been a pioneer in the areas of personal mastery,
leadership, dialogue, and organizational resilience. He has coached hundreds of
leaders and their teams, and he has served as a consultant to numerous
organizations in the private, public and nonprofit sectors. He is the
co-originator of Dynamic Dialogue, a powerful collective methodology for
co-evolving belief systems, leadership, products/services and organizational
architectures.
Mitch has a passion and gift for enabling groups to tackle complex challenges
and achieve extraordinary results. For example, he:
- Coached the team that converted a U.S. military base into an
innovative public university at Monterey, California.
- Helped design and facilitate a weeklong gathering of diverse
world religious and political leaders that met with His Holiness The Dali Lama
to address the ongoing conflict between China and Tibet.
- Led a 3-year,
multi-organization dialogue process that guided the reform of the healthcare
systems of Western Colorado.
- Coached a corporate product development team
to reduce its time to market (from 11 months to 9 weeks) while also decreasing
defects (from 25% to 5%).
Mitch is a former researcher, project leader and instructor at the
Organizational Learning Center at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Earlier in his career, he founded and managed California Leadership, a statewide
organization credited with helping to change the way public policy was forged in
California, and also for preparing and enabling diverse emerging leaders to
contribute to the process.
