Coaching
Given today's escalating complexity and pace of change, it is no surprise that
executives and many others increasingly turn to the services of coaches - and the
type of relationship modeled after the one between athletic player and coach.
Coaching can occur in person, over the phone, via email or videoconference.
Consultations can be entirely private. Or sometimes, the coach works along side
you, using collaboration as a vehicle for learning. A coach can also work
directly with your team to boost their performance or creativity, or provide
guidance from "behind-the-scenes."
Coaching can serve several different, yet related purposes. We offer three
types:
- Performance Improvement -
advancing from one level of mastery to the next.
This type of coaching supports your development in areas where improvements can
be guided by best practices, and measured by established standards. The
improvement can be as simple as learning one new communication skill, or
complex, such as accelerating speed-to-market.
- Conscious Evolution -
redefining and evolving your signature approach to life, leadership,
relationships, responses to stress.
This coaching illuminates
strengths inherent in your unique way of being in the world, and provides
elegant practices to deepen or alter your approaches to work, change or
relationships. You will learn how to recognize key cues in your self - the
connections between body, mind and emotions - and quickly shift your state and
form. You will also improve your ability to remain "on purpose" when the going
gets rough. This capacity for sensing what's needed and voluntarily evolving
your self will enable you to adapt and remain agile over time.
- Systems Change -
appreciating what is underneath seeming chaos, noticing and coming to terms with
what is ending, and growing emergent opportunities.
This capacity for systemic transformation is crucial for personal relationships,
business and communities. Coaching with this focus enables you to sense and
influence the evolving interplay of identity, purpose and structure for any
living system. You will learn how to use prototypes and "serious play" to give
shape and dynamism to new ideas, products, and alternative ways of forming
relationships and organizations. You will also learn to anticipate the ripple
effects of change. This approach conserves and focuses energy because it's
based on working with what's already in progress.
